Tasks required:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist in bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Process invoices, payments, and payroll transactions in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial records to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Prepare tax documents and support compliance with financial regulations.
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, and team members regarding financial matters.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Perform data entry, record-keeping, and document management tasks.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as an accounting assistant, bookkeeper, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, bookkeeping, and tax regulations.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • A strong understanding of financial reports.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace.
